Neurology is a multidisciplinary medical branch which is dealing with the diseases of movement, brain, nerves and headache and epilepsy. Our Neurology department provides inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic and continuous follow-up services for wide spectrum of neurologic diseases.

Services are provided for the neurologic diseases such as cerebrovascular accident and vertigo, headache, movement disorders, muscle and nerves diseases, epilepsy, Alzheimer, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke and sleep disorders. Neurology department works in collaboration with Medical Imaging and Neurosurgery units.

These services supported by diagnostic and therapeutic contributions of cranial tomography or magnetic resonance (MRI), echocardiography, extracranial Doppler. 

Treatments of the patients having life threatening serious conditions such as coma, progressive stroke, and recurrent seizures are followed in Intensive Care Unit.

Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and many more. This type of care treats pain, depression, shortness of breath, fatigue, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, difficulty sleeping, anxiety and any other symptoms that may be causing distress. The team will help you gain the strength to carry on with daily life. In short, palliative care will help improve your quality of life.

The Palliative Care Unit, consisting of nine beds and served by a general surgeon and 8 trained nurses, was opened in our hospital in 2018. Patients suffering from advanced serious heart, lung, kidney illnesses, as well as cancerous and neurological diseases may be treated there.

Treatment in the Palliative Care unit usually involves other branches, such as anaesthesia, oncology, general surgery, pulmonology, psychiatry, physical therapy and psychology along with social training.
