Our Coronary Intensive Care Unit; is a unit that provides services in the presence of a life-threatening, critical disease; with 7 days 24 hours uninterrupted services, aiming to provide close follow-up and treatment of the patient, to sustain life and to bring the patient back to life. It is a department with specially designed physical conditions, equipped with high-tech medical devices and specially trained medical personnel, compared to other health services in terms of medical treatment and patient care.
Our Coronary Intensive Care Unit has been providing service with 5 beds since 2003. Each patient has a separate room in the unit, which is accepted worldwide and is one of the most up-to-date applications. Level 2 Intensive Care registration was obtained in 2012.
In our units where all critically ill children and adults are admitted, all kinds of follow-up, treatment and care services related to the patient are carried out by the department staff from the moment the patient is admitted. Our patients are under one-on-one nurse follow-up and their treatments are carried out by experienced intensive care physicians. In addition to their own intensive care physician, our intensive care units also receive 24-hour support from other branch physicians. Our unit hosts patient visits between 12.30 and 13.30.
The beds in our Coronary Intensive Care Unit are designed for immediate intervention in emergencies; 2 Mechanical Ventilator Devices to provide artificial respiratory support, 1 pocket-sized ECO Device for imaging the heart with high-frequency sound waves (ultrasoud-ultrasound), 5 Invasive Input Bedside Monitors that continuously display vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, body temperature, 1 central monitor; 1 Defibrillator Device that gives high-value current to the heart for a short time so that a heart in fibrillation can regain its normal rhythm, 3 ventilator devices are available.
When necessary, all laboratory tests can be performed on our patient at any hour, as well as all imaging techniques (CT/computed tomography, MR/magnetic resonance, digital x-ray, ultrasonography, etc.) can be applied.
Our intensive care physician and healthcare professional staff, who work with dedication and devotion to ensure that our patients are ‘connected to life’ with a multidisciplinary approach, perform their duties in line with the science required by medicine.
