HOME HEALTH SERVICES UNIT
Our Home Health Services Unit was established with the approval of the Ministry dated 24.08.2010 and numbered 36983 in accordance with the Directive on Home Health Services Application Procedures and Principles presented by the Ministry of Health dated 01.02.2010 and numbered 3895 in order to provide health services to bedridden individuals who need home health services due to various diseases.
Our unit, consisting of two doctors, five nurses, one health officer, one elderly care technician, and one driver, provides services within the Fethiye State Hospital within the scope of the appointment system during working hours.
Our team evaluates patients who want to benefit from Home Health Services on-site and prepares and implements treatment and care plans within the scope. In addition, the provision and reporting of medical devices that can assist in the treatment of patients included in the scope of Home Health Services such as functional patient beds and beds, wheelchairs, air mattresses, patient diapers, urinary catheters, and documented medication reports for continuous use are provided to the extent possible.
WHAT IS HOME HEALTH?
Providing examination, testing, treatment, medical care and rehabilitation services for individuals who are completely bedridden in the home environment, prescribing medications whose long-term use is documented by a health report, assisting in preparing reports regarding the use of medical devices and materials, informing the patient and their family about the tasks they can undertake during the home care process and disease care processes.

- Those who are not bedridden and can go to any health institution cannot benefit from this service.

Applications made by phone; information about the patient is obtained, delivered to our Home Health Services units and the patient is given an appointment for an examination at home. Our physician and Home Health Services team conduct home visits, evaluate the patients' compliance with the Home Health Services criteria and create record files for the patients included in the scope. The main purpose of Home Health Services is not to diagnose the patient but to implement the treatment arranged for the diagnosed patient, follow-up and provide education. With this application, routine examinations of patients, blood tests related to their diseases, catheterization and follow-up, wound dressings, prescription of medications they use regularly for their diseases, assistance in purchasing wheelchairs, diapers and other medical supplies that can help with treatment are provided to the relevant patients.
In addition, for patients who are hospitalized and need to receive home health services after being discharged, service continuity is ensured if the primary physician contacts the home health services unit of the same hospital at the discharge stage and determines the quality, frequency and duration of the medical service to be provided and conveys it to the unit.
TERMINATION OF HOME HEALTH SERVICE
- The patient's follow-up and treatment improves in a way that does not require healthcare personnel,
- The patient is hospitalized,
- The patient goes to another region,
- Incompatible patient behavior,
- The patient refuses service,
- The patient dies.
